Zoning Commission
St. Clair Township has a Zoning Commission which consists of five volunteers from residents of the township. This group, besides recommending amendments or changes to the Zoning Resolution, rules on applications by property owners to change zoning classification of their land, laying within the township. Their meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 7:00pm provided there is business to consider. Citizens wishing to attending Zoning Commission meetings should call the Zoning Office to be sure a meeting is being held.

Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals considers applications for variances from the Zoning Resolution or for conditional use of land as exceptions to the Zoning Resolution.
As with the Zoning Commision, there are five residents of the Township who volunteer to sit on the Board of Zoning Appeals. They meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 pm provided there is business to consider. Citizens wishing to attending Zoning Commission meetings should call the Zoning Office to be sure a meeting is being held.

Zoning Administrator/Inspector
Jerry Lanich serves as the Zoning Administrator and Inspector for the Township. With numerous years of experience, he is responsible for the issuance of Zoning Certificates, accepting applications for zoning changes and or variance requests.
Additionally, the Zoning Inspector is responsible for periodic inspection of property within the township, looking for violation of the Zoning Resoltion.
